Conversion Is My Goal

Conversion is our Goal (Link to Come Follow Me 2024, Introductory Lesson)
2 Corinthians 5:17 How can I become a new creature through my gospel study? To become truly converted, I need to apply the things that I learn and repent and change as necessary. Are you ready?
In order to do this I need heaven’s help. I cannot do it without the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. I need to pray to Heavenly Father in Jesus’s name in fervent prayer, relying on Them to help me choose to change my heart, my views, my actions, and my worldly nature; and I need to beg Them for the Holy Ghost to help guide me as I seek to make those necessary changes.
True conversion takes personal and consistent effort; it
will require me to have the influence of the Holy Ghost in my
daily life, in my minute-to-minute activities.
John 16:13 I am thankful to know that the Holy Ghost’s mission is to guide me to all truth. That also means that I need to seek after truth.
John 14:26 I am also thankful to know that the Holy Ghost is a Comforter. That has been a great blessing to me throughout my life, as He has witnessed to me of my Heavenly Father’s love and helped me to know when my offerings have been acceptable. I’m thankful to know that He can teach me all things and help to bring all things to my remembrance. That’s amazing. I think we only usually think of that as pertaining to our premortal life; but, I know there is much that I knew in the life before that I do not remember now. The Holy Ghost can help me recognize truth and remember those things that I once knew.
Seeking the Spirit is essential to the deepening of my
conversion. This realization should become a goal that governs my choices and
guides my thoughts and actions. When I am sensitive to the Spirit, I know what
is pleasing to my Father and what is not. As I choose those things that please
Him, He will allow me to have a greater measure of the Spirit, which will aid
in my progression and conversion.
When we live worthily of having the presence of the Holy Ghost with us and of
partaking of the sacrament, covenanting to always remember and follow Jesus, we
will also be worth to live in the presence of our Heavenly Parents and our
Savior Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for our Father’s plan for my happiness.
In 2024, I am going to be working on strengthening my conversion and inviting
others to come unto Christ in meaningful ways.
I read this section and took these notes.
This will be a basis for not only my study this year, but also for
strengthening my relationship with my Heavenly Father and some refining.
